Where the Silk Road begins a private retreat in the heart of the old town awaits."A favourite bolthole for musicians, writers and artists" White Line Hotels

Lešić Dimitri Palace stands within the heart of the old town of Korčula, with a refined elegance that represents the rich history and culture of its destination. Celebrating the marriage between old and new, this boutique bolthole has just six unique and spacious suites. They were designed by an Asian-Croatian team of architects and interior designers and inspired by Korčula's famous resident, Marco Polo and his travels along the Silk Road which people say started from this beautiful island.

History of the palace

The 18th Century Bishop's palace was lovingly restored over five years and now offers luxury hotel accommodation for those wishing to escape, create, relax or unwind. It offers guests the chance of experiencing the essence of the Dalmatia, through an intimate yet unobtrusive level of service, from a team passionate about the destination and sharing it with its visitors. Our goal is to celebrate, share and promote the best that Croatia has to offer, from the richness of its history, culture and scenic beauty, to the breadth and quality of it's gastronomy. Still wondering where to stay in Korcula?

The faithful restoration of the Palace has retained many of the original features and combined them with bespoke furniture, excellent design and modern technology. Our commitment to keeping the original features and layout of the palace in tact, inspired the creation of individual residences on every floor of the building, instead of classical hotel rooms. Thus we have five beautiful residences ranging in size from one to three bedrooms, offering luxury boutique style accommodation. They are fully serviced but allow independence with fitted kitchens and dining facilities, either for self-catering or private dining using our chefs. The sixth residence, Korčula, has been converted into a spa treatment area. The palace’s design pays homage to Marco Polo and his Silk Road adventures with subtle themes from the route's different regions integrated with restored original features and exquisite handcrafted furniture.

Venice Residence

For a long time Korčula was under the influence of Venice and this residence takes you back to Venice at the time of its grandeur. The 120m2 piano nobile with its high, stained-red ceilings is as impressive as it would have been three centuries ago and a private balcony encased in ornate carved wood extends this wonderfully spacious living area. All three bedrooms have ensuite bathing facilities with king sized beds and plasma TVs in each room. All beds can be split to create twin-sleeping arrangements.

India Residence

This beautiful residence on the ground floor of the Palace offers enchanting accommodation with two beautiful bedrooms with oversized bathtubs in each one. The separate living and dining rooms are perfect for quiet relaxation or entertaining larger groups. Gentle influences from South Asia are apparent in the rich fabrics, marble and stone. A private courtyard provides an enchanting haven. Escape from the heat of the island for private relaxation within the heart of the town.

China Residence

Subtle influences of Chinese design invoke a flavor of Asia, but without distracting from the Korčulan context. The opulent side of Asian design is emphasized with a vast bathroom with enormous bathtub central to the room. The beautiful terrace, with stunning views over the Pelješac channel and Korčula archipelago, provides a wonderful space for relaxing at any time of the day or night.

Arabia Residence

This incredible suite is reminiscent of Arabia. It has breathtaking and unparalleled 360-degree views of the Pelješac channel, Korčula archipelago, rooftops and Mount Ilija. Cool and relaxing open-plan living provides an atmosphere of romance and luxury.

Ceylon Residence

Ceylon residence is on the street level, located under the vaulted ceilings of an original medieval cottage. Intricate detailing and wonderful use of light and textiles give hints of South Asia, but within a Korčulan context.

Dine & wine

LD Restaurant serves a creative menu of seasonal, fresh, local and organic produce from breakfast through to dinner, offering al fresco dining with views across the Peljesac channel and the Korčula archipelago. Talented, local, young chef Toni Erceg has joined the palace as Head Chef. He trained in Stavanger under Antonio Toni Bjelancic and then returned to work in Antonio's restaurant, Kobas, on the Peljesac. His new menu celebrates local and seasonal ingredients and flavours and puts LD firmly on the list of places to eat at on the Adriatic coast. Take a stroll through Croatia's best wines with our wine list featuring the country's leading producers. Combine with dining at the CHEF'S TABLE for a truly special dining experience. Lešić Dimitri's restaurant is situated in the Old Town of Korčula with terraces that stretch along the Old Town walls right above the glistening Adriatic Sea.

Enter a sanctuary for the senses in the midst of an ancient city. An exotic experience awaits you blending cultures and techniques from along the Silk Road. Indulge in the therapeutic benefits of spa therapies offered by the palace's Thai therapists who are trained to world-class standards in a country with centuries' worth of spa tradition. The team offers an inspiring treatment list with influences from the Silk Road, Thailand and the Mediterranean with natural products created especially for Lešić Dimitri palace using herbs, roots, flowers and fruits organically grown in Dalmatia and Asia.
